Statement of Faith
We do not yet have a “statement of faith”. However, we offer the following thoughts while praying you will read patiently. Questions are welcome.

There are so many theologies and doctrines formed about and around so many topics. Our understanding and habit is to regard and refer to things, especially the Father, the Bible, the Holy Spirit, and the Messiah, in words and phrases definitively given to us in the Bible, and less so in terms and categories and ideals suggested by men.

We know that יהוה our Elohim is one. That He created the heavens and the earth and all that are in them. That He set apart the seventh day for Shabbat. That He is the redeemer and savior of a people set apart to Him, called Israel. That He gave His Torah to those gathered and joined to Him. That He is the provider of salvation, יהושע, and of the set-apart Spirit that leads us. And we know that He has made all of this available to every tribe of Israel and to the nations.

Of course, that paragraph does not express the entirety of what we understand, but is the foundation from which we work and study to understand and articulate all that יהוה would reveal to us as well as answer all the questions asked of us and that we ourselves ask.

Certainly, there are concepts we think we understand and might articulate in such a way, based on specific passages and connections and conclusions drawn, that best expresses a particular understanding. However, unless a concept or idea or understanding is particularly and explicitly stated in the recorded Words of יהוה, we cannot claim it as a "belief".

We daily, moment by moment, diligently seek to have a proper regard for all that יהוה would have us regard. We also appreciate the usefulness of creating theological and doctrinal terms for discussing vast and broad biblical and spiritual matters. However, when asked questions that seem to force us to answer within parameters set up by men in their genuine attempts to fully grasp the whole of the mystery of יהוה, we are at a loss.

We cannot help but think of the following words recorded for us in Proverbs. “For I am more stupid than anyone, and do not have the understanding of a man. And I have not learned wisdom that I should know the knowledge of the set-apart One. Who has gone up to the heavens and come down? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has bound the waters in a garment? Who established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, and what is His Son’s name, if you know it? Every word of Eloah is tried; He is a shield to those taking refuge in Him. Do not add to His words, lest He reprove you, and you be found a liar.”

To sum up even more simply, the words of Mosheh put us at ease whenever we get overwhelmed trying to explain concepts quite beyond our comprehension. “The secret matters belong to יהוה our Elohim, but what is revealed belongs to us and to our children forever, to do all the words of this Torah.”

There’s a reason we don’t have a bullet-pointed “statement of faith” available here. The truth is … we are still seeking the Father’s will, praying to Him often for wisdom and discernment and the truth about Him, His creation, His Word, His people, and the Messiah.

We offer the following verses as we continuously pray and study and quiet ourselves before the Father.

“Let us hear the conclusion of the entire matter: Fear Elohim and guard His commands, for this applies to all mankind!”
